To celebrate the launch of Canvas, Spotify’s new tool that lets every song feature an 8-second looping visual, we opened a record store during Austin City Limits where every album cover was alive.
For Canvas Records, we custom-created over 100 moving records that could be picked up and handed like real albums. Each record featured its song’s associated Canvas alongside completely original artwork designed specifically for event. A code on the back of each record, when scanned, would pull up the song right on your phone. Guests were encouraged to bring their favorite record up to our special listening bar where renounced bartenders from Austin’s The Roosevelt Room would mix them a custom drink inspired by their selection.
