Working with XL Recordings, one of my favorite labels, I developed content for various artists with then Head of Innovation Jamie-James Medina. Below are a few projects I’ve written, developed and co-directed with XL.

Single Mothers - Half Lit

I wrote and directed the debut video for punk band Single Mothers. The song's called "Half Lit", so we quite literally lit it halfway.

Willis Earl Beal - Principles of a Protagonist

I turned a sprawling, 50-page stream of consciousness novella into the following animated short film for eccentric soul singer Willis Earl Beal. The film premiered on NOWNESS and received Vimeo Staff Pick honors.

Okay Kaya - Keep on Pushin

Ok, this wasn’t actually for XL (Kaya’s on the equally incredible Jagjaguwar) but why not keep these tabs to a minimum. I directed this video, which we shot entirely in Pokemon Go. We ran around the streets of New York filming wherever we could find Pokemon. There was about a two week period where this was relevant and we shot and released it within it. Co-staring Pikachu.
